Domed Cooling Stage DCS 500

Full description

Domed Cooling Stage for Four-Circle Goniometers

• For in-situ X-ray diffraction studies at low and high temperatures on four-circle goniometers and XYZ stages
• Temperature range from -180 °C to +500 °C
• For the investigation of layered structures, phase transformations, and stress in crystalline material

The DCS 500 Domed Cooling Stage is the smallest attachment for in-situ X-ray diffraction studies at low and high temperatures on four-circle goniometers and XYZ stages. With a temperature range from -180 °C to +500 °C and a theta angle from almost 0° to 90° 2Θ for all Φangles, DCS 500 is the ideal sample stage for in-situ studies of layered structures and for investigating phase transformations and stress in crystalline material.

Exact sample temperature and variable sample environment
• Liquid nitrogen cryostat for fast cooling down to -180 °C
• Resistance heater for fast heating up to +500 °C
• Accurate PT100 RTD close to the sample for precise temperature measurement and control
• Highly X-ray transparent graphite dome for measurements under vacuum, in air and other gases

Compact design
• Smart and variable sample fixing allows reflectivity measurements
• Low weight (850 g)
• Thin, vacuum-insulated liquid nitrogen hoses with high flexibility down to -180 °C
